MY JOURNEY

My passion for designing fabulous functional spaces was set a blaze at the age of 8, when my Dad and I built my Barbie’s a house.

In high school I landed a co-op at BBBargons, it turned into a part time job, for the next five  + years. Every available minute I had was spent assisting the in house and local interior designers, pull a clients vision into a reality.

You got to remember this is pre Pinterest and the internet!!!!

After high school I attended York University, getting a BFA and a BA, with the plan to become a art teacher.

Then life took a turn, and I landed in the world of food. 

Building two successful catering companies, bitchin kitchen and Catering By Design. Through which I used food, furniture, flowers and decor to encapsulate a clients desired aspirations.

The physicality and hours were taking a toll on my body, so I decided to wrap them up.

I landed a position at The Four Seasons Hotel. What an opportunity. My exceptional customer service, project management and design expertise went to a whole other level.

Then I lost my mother to cancer, which pushed me to revaluate my life goals. Our family decided it was time to slow things down, so we moved to the countryside.

We found a majestic piece of land with an out of date ranch style bungalow, in desperate need of a full gut.

After spending a year turning the house into a home, all while living in a 27 foot fifth wheel, with two dogs, a cat, my husband and son. The embers from when I was eight years old burst into flames. 

Through the relationship I built during our renovation I got a Design Consultant position at the Lindsay Design Center.

I have had the honor of working with three different highly skilled designers, a drafts man and many trades within the community. All helping me improve my product, building and renovation knowledge.

Over the past six years I have been truly blessed to have established a wonderful client base, worked on numerous new builds, complete renovations and tiny refreshes. I have honed my project management skills with the development of proven processes, that not only keep a project on budget and time, but keeps it fun!!!
